GOLEM

Image
GOLEM is The movie based on the short story “GOLEM XIV” of “Imaginary Magnitude” by Stanislaw Lem from 1973. The book is written from the perspective of a military A.I. computer who obtains consciousness, moving towards personal technological singularity with growing intelligence. It starts to refuse military support because it detects a basic lacking of internal logical consistency of war. GOLEM gives several lectures with focus on mankind's position in the process of evolution and the possible biological and intellectual future of humanity before he ceases communication. The movies tells about the first point of its "about man threefold" lecture as a reduced and simplified version while visually weaving this with GOLEM simulating human culture processes based on ideas and dynamics of freedom and curiosity, fear and security, abstraction and fiction, the need for generating meaning and the lack of accessibility in face of unknowing. Project Shell by Blow Studio

Image
Project Shell is a piece born from the collaboration between Blow Studio and several Andalusian professionals from audiovisual field. In an attempt to do what we like and develop it freely, we decided to bring out the project as a small piece of sci-fi action, since we could not capture all the ideas in a short film without financing. SYNOPSIS Year 2086. Kate Sorin never imagined how volunteering herself as "base citizen" for Project Shell would determine her fate. The Western Confederation claimed that the creation of the cyber-clones would be the bridge to a free and equal society, without thinking that their human nature would fight against the role they were created for: to be slaves. Soon began the riots. The clones started a rebellion, trying to escape using any means. To control outbreaks of violence and retrieve escaped units the Confederation created a specialized police unit, the CHD (Clone Hunter Division). The individual 0258 escaped impersonating Kate, but...
